What is the difference between a switch and a router?
A network switch is a hardware device that is used to connect computers in a local area network (LAN). On the other hand, a router can be used to connect multiple LANs, including the ability to connect an LAN with the Internet. Both types of devices have ports that an Ethernet cable can be plugged into in order to achieve connectivity.
