Accurate Electronics offers an antenna integration service for companies that are engaged in the development of new or redesigned wireless products. The integration service minimizes the risks typically encountered in this key component of wireless design. This service is suited to companies that do not have an antenna specialist in house, yet require state of the art antenna solutions in their products. Accurate Electronics has off-the-shelf solutions for the most popular ISM bands and protocols such as 802.11, Bluetooth, Zigbee and many others. Our development process utilizes computer simulation of the electrical and mechanical design in order to insure optimum performance and reliability. Our antennas are designed and manufactured to provide more margin for performance at the band edges. Most manufacturers indicate the quality of the match at the center of the band where the antenna typically has the best performance. This is called the Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR). We indicate the VSWR at the worst point in the band which gives you assurance that the performance will always be as good as, or better than, specified. The integration of antenna design with the hardware has complexities associated with it, such as, causing significant go-to-market delays, poor wireless performance at multiple product design phases, including final product, etc. Significant variable costs are incurred due to these issues during product development cycles, as the integration of an embedded antenna requires at least three to four PCB (Printed Circuit Board) turns, that is, the number of times changes are made to the printed circuit board for integration of components on it.
