Isolated Community Internet Service

To those of us who live in cities or larger communities, high-speed Internet access is so common that we take it for granted. But there are still many isolated communities where high-speed Internet access is still a dream. Dial-up service is almost always available, and in some communities DSL service may be available, but since there is no cable service, high-speed Internet access is simply not available. However, with the use of Accurate Electronics' Ethernet Transceivers, high-speed Internet access can be available even in these communities.

The first step is to locate the closest place where high-speed service is available. Once service to that location has been established, an Ethernet Transceiver Access Point can be connected to the Internet service. Depending on the terrain, a signal can be transmitted from that Access Point to Subscriber Units. Individual computers can then be connected to individual Subscriber Units, thus becoming part of an Internet network. It would be like being connected to the Internet with long distance Ethernet cables, but without the cables.

Small communities of users could also have the signal transmitted to a single unit in their community capable of sending and receiving Internet signals, and individual users would connect to that unit in their own homes or businesses.
